Rydges Hotel Newcastle

Situated in the heart of Newcastle CBD and our first choice of accommodation in the Honeysuckle Precinct, Rydges Hotel Newcastle is a must for visitors. Each suite is beautifully designed and well-appointed with modern furnishings and essential amenities. All services needed to be comfortable and connected for the duration of your stay are only a call away.

When staying at Rydges, exploring the beautiful beaches and natural wonders on offer is our recommendation. The famous Nobbys Beach and Bathers Way is a quick walk out of the foyer and along Newcastle Harbour. Take in the scenery and local eateries scattered on the walk, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll also find some bike rentals. The Hotel is a short walk away from the Newcastle Museum, Fort Scratchley and Nobby’s Head, and is a sure winner for those looking to explore the local sights. And if you venture a little further, you’ll find there’s even more natural beauty on offer, like the Newcastle Memorial Walk, Merewether Beach and Blackbutt Reserve.

Dining Experience

When dining at the Rydges Hotel Newcastle you have a few options. Head out for a walk around the hotel and find many well priced, good quality cafes with quality food and exceptionally good coffee. Stumble across various restaurants and bars that cater to a variety of appetites and cravings. I would head over two blocks to Hunter Street where you will find numerous cafes which will help you with your breakfast requirements. Rydges Newcastle also offer in-house dining options. From expert espressos to intimate evenings and sunset cocktails, the fresh modern Australian menu, waterfront views and friendly staff create an unforgettable dining experience for visitors and locals alike. And if leaving the comfort of you suite is proving too much, simply choose something healthy and nutritious from our specially designed in-room dining menu.

When staying at the Crowne Plaza and you’ve forgotten some essential item and need to find a close shopping centre you’ll be looking for the Market Town Square Shopping Centre you can Google it but I can let you know that is approx.. 5 to 10 mins walk from the Crowne Plaza Newcastle and it has shops like Dan Murphy’s, Woolworths, Coles and other variety stores that you would find in a small to medium shopping centres.

Transport Around Town

Thinking about hiring a car to get around Newcastle? If you’re choosing to stay in Newcastle for an extended stay and relying on public transport, I would say to you go and see my good friends at Avis. Public transport in Newcastle would not be something that I would rely on to get to meetings on time. If you’re coming in and out of the airport and you require an airport transfer of course Newcastle Connections would be your best and most reliable alternative.
