Novotel Newcastle Beach

Accommodation is key when traveling, either for a holiday or business. Newcastle boasts a variety of choices, though when looking for lodging at the heart of the city, look no further than The Novotel Newcastle Beach.

Located at the East End of Newcastle on King Street, the Novotel places you next door to the Ocean Baths and Newcastle’s high end eateries.

Thinking about going to the beach while staying at the Novotel, it  is easy, head out of the foyer, turn right and you will see a set of stairs between the buildings go down those stairs and  you will find yourself directly opposite Newcastle Beach which is a patrolled beach 7 days a week you also find yourself on a beautiful walking track of Newcastle which if you turn left at Newcastle Beach you will walk past Newcastle Ocean Baths down to Nobbys Beach and if you keep going you’ll find yourself walking alongside our beautiful Harbour.

Breakfast options are also quite easy as you have a cafe directly opposite the foyer of the hotel with a large and well-priced menu, if that doesn’t suit you I would suggest you walk down towards the beach and as soon as you finish coming through the centre stairs turn hard left and you will find some coffee shops for a different selection for breakfast.

Dining options and drinks are also quite easy while staying at the Novotel as you have a wine bar at the other end of the foyer and some beautiful restaurants within walking distance.  I would recommend the following options, if you walk out of the foyer and turn left then walk down to the next block you have a Spanish and French restaurant next to each other or you could walk out of the foyer and walk down Pacific Street turn left onto Hunter Street and you will find two of Newcastle’s most exclusive dining restaurants.

You always have the option going over to Darby Street for a larger selection of laid-back bars and restaurants or you can catch a Taxi to Honeysuckle for bars and restaurants looking over our beautiful Harbour.

If you’re coming to Newcastle and relying on public transport I would suggest a rental car from our friends from Avis or if you’re here for work or visiting friends and don’t require a rental car but an airport transfer, Newcastle Connections would be happy to assist with your requirements.

If you’re looking for that damn toothbrush that you forgot to pack I would recommend a short taxi ride to Market Town Square where you would find all those essential things as it has a Woolworths, Coles, Dan Murphy’s and other shops you would expect to find in a small shopping centre
